What is curriculum in a typical day?

We follow a daily classroom schedule and utilize the Frog Street bilingual curriculum. The typical day starts with a healthy breakfast served family style. After breakfast, we set the daily tone with circle time in each classroom. Throughout the morning we explore numerous learning opportunities that include language learning, STEM, social, and emotional skills. We have outdoor play time on our state-of-the-art outdoor play space in the morning and afternoon. After morning play, we regroup for a healthy lunch served family style, which is followed by cleanup and nap time. In the afternoon, we work on projects in the classroom to include art and other enrichment activities. After afternoon outdoor play time, we have a light snack and then fill the afternoon with fun activities until it is time to go home.

How do you assess development?

We utilize state-of-the-art assessment tools, developed in collaboration with the latest curriculum experts in academia. These assessments are embedded in our Frog Street Curriculum.
Additionally, our Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 teachers are trained on the same assessment tools used in AISD, as part of our Pre-K partnership.

Are you part of AISD?

We partner with AISD to provide AISD pre-K3 and pre-K4 onsite. Our Pre-K classes are seamlessly embedded in our full-day pre-K classes, offering working parents the opportunity to have their child experience AISD pre-K in a full-day care environment.

What are the qualifications of Angels Care teachers?

Our Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 lead teachers have bachelor’s degrees in education. We constantly train all our teachers and many of our teachers are working on or have received multiple certifications. These include rigorous certifications such as the CDA (Child Development Associate) and Texas School Ready. We believe in teacher excellence through training, education, and continuous improvement. Meet our staff here.

Are you CPR and First Aid Certified?

Yes, all our teachers are certified in CPR and first aid.

What is the teacher to student ratio?

Teacher to student ratios vary by age. We strictly follow the requirements in the Texas Minimum Child Care Standards and our ratios are usually much better than the minimum requirement.

How do you deal with special needs of children?

The teachers are provided training in how to interact with and assess special needs children. Our caring staff will always be informed of any special needs your child has.
Additionally, we have a large network of resources that we can work with when it is recommended that a child be professionally assessed for special needs.

Is there an art program?

Yes, we have an art room and learning through art is incorporated into each learning center. Our teachers are trained in making learning fun and exciting!

Can parents visit anytime they want?
